Books are part of our daily work. That’s why we’re all the more delighted that FINIDR has become one of the partners and sponsors of the nationwide initiative “Read for the National Team”!
The project, initiated and coordinated by the Union of Czech Booksellers and Publishers, has a simple yet ambitious goal—to bring reading back into everyday life and show that anyone can read. Just like in sports, it’s not performance that matters most, but consistency. To start, even just one page a day is enough.
“Read for the National Team!” aims to reach not only regular readers but, above all, those for whom books are not a regular part of life today. In doing so, it highlights the importance of reading for education, critical thinking, mental health, interpersonal relationships, and children’s futures. The goal is to gradually change perceptions of reading and present it as a natural and modern part of life.
And because behind every book we open there are people who helped create it, FINIDR simply has to be a part of this.
Every year, millions of books pass through our production facilities on their way to readers across Europe. By supporting the “Read for the National Team!” project, we want to contribute to what matters most—ensuring that books continue to find their way to readers.
