SUMMER JOB FOR BOYS FROM THE ADAM ASSOCIATION

Collaboration with the ADAM Association has long been a traditional part of the summer at FINIDR.

This August, once again, we welcomed a group of young people with autism to our manual finishing department, most of whom return to us time and again.

Thanks to their familiarity with the environment, they were able to get stuck into the work quickly and become part of the team. This year, they were also joined by two newcomers, who successfully navigated their first work experience.

We greatly value this long-term collaboration. It gives young people the opportunity to develop work habits, gain new experiences and achieve greater independence. In turn, they help us cope with busier periods and enrich the workplace with their energy and good humour.

We also asked representatives of the organisation ADAM – Autistic Children and Us – about our collaboration, and they rated it very positively:

“Our partnership with the FINIDR is of inestimable value to our organisation, ADAM. For nine years now, young people with autism have had the opportunity to spend their summers doing meaningful work in an environment where everyone treats them with respect and kindness. The fact that our lads are so keen to return to the print shop every summer is the best proof of how safe and comfortable they feel here. We are immensely grateful to have such an exceptional partner by our side, one who harbours no prejudices against people with autism,” says Ms Marie Gerdová.

Such words give us great pleasure and, at the same time, confirm that social responsibility is not just an empty concept. We believe that even a seemingly small opportunity can help young people gain self-confidence, new experiences and important skills for their future lives. That is why we value this collaboration and look forward to spending another summer together.
