For the first time  the international week of Reading to Children 2011 took place here in Czech Cieszyn from 1st to 7th  of June, commencing an international project at the European level which is called All Europe Reads to Children.

During the inauguration ceremony and under the auspices of the Governor of the Moravian-Silesian region a single statement was signed by all the participants to support the spread of ideas which cultivate not only children, but the whole family. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Jaroslav Drahos, the owner of our printing house that has sponsored the project for a long time. Well known celebrities such as the writer Michael Viewegh,  the actor Boleslav Polivka  and  singers  Jaromir Nohavica and Ewa Farna came to give their support as well. The organizers of the event are The Entire Czech Reads to Children project and Cala Czyta Dzieciom Poland. The event was attended by over 800 institutions throughout the Czech Republic.

We believe that the international week of reading to children will continue and we will celebrate such pleasant days of literature every year through all Europe.
