In August, the annual audit of the Carbon Footprint Management certification was successfully completed. Thanks to all goals established last year, we managed to reduce the carbon footprint by 45,5 % compared to the base year 2015.
Goals for reducing the carbon footprint include, for example, the purchase of environmentally friendly electricity from renewable sources, the purchase of input materials with lower emission factors or more efficient transport of products.
Actually it was the increase of effectiveness in delivering the products to customers which contributed to the reduction of the carbon footprint by another 2,2 %. What does it mean? It means using the capacity of trucks in the best possible way or including as many unloading sites on one route as possible.
