In the past period, we have continued a number of activities within the framework of corporate social responsibility (CSR) aimed at increasing the sustainability of our printing plant and contributing to environmental protection. Here is an overview of the most important steps we have taken recently.
What have we done in this regard in 2024?
6.2% water savings
As part of our efforts to reduce water consumption, aerators were installed on the taps at FINIDR B in the first half of this year. After calculating the costs, the results show that we have achieved water savings of 6.2% compared to last year, which represents a significant step towards more efficient management of natural resources.
4% reduction in carbon footprint
The results for 2024 show an improvement of four percentage points over the previous year, which is a significant shift towards our goal of reducing the environmental impact of production. This progress confirms that the measures taken are having a real effect and motivates us to take further steps in the area of decarbonization.
15% of companies evaluated
We have worked intensively to prepare documentation for the EcoVadis assessment, which is an internationally recognized standard in the field of sustainability. The goal is to obtain feedback and identify further opportunities for improvement in the area of social responsibility. We expect the commission’s results in the near future and firmly believe that we will defend at least the silver position, which only 15% of the companies evaluated can boast.
10% reduction in gas consumption
In the area of energy, we are preparing modifications to the boiler room at FINIDR B, which include changes to the heating area. The aim of this investment is to reduce gas consumption by approximately 10%.
2026
From the beginning of 2026, we must comply with the European Commission’s regulations on deforestation. We are currently verifying the settings of our internal system for assigning Due Diligence Statements to orders and, at the same time, we are in intensive negotiations with our suppliers and clients on an acceptable method of transferring the necessary information required for the smooth running of production and delivery of orders to clients.
All these activities are proof of our commitment to responsible business. We would like to thank all our colleagues who are involved in these activities and look forward to taking further steps together towards a more sustainable future.
