Dear colleagues,
summer is here. The sun is shining stronger and stronger, the smell of barbecues, gardens, holidays, swimming pools, hikes and mountain trails is in the air. For many of us, it’s the most wonderful time of the year – a time to slow down, be with family more, recharge our batteries and enjoy some well-deserved rest.
While I’m writing these lines, preparations for the launch of the 500,000,000th book printed by FINIDR are coming to a head. When we set this goal three years ago, it sounded like a bold dream. Today it is a reality. Half a billion books bearing our city’s name across Europe. Each and every one of us has contributed to this success – with our work, our patience, our responsibility and our hearts.
It’s more than just a number. It’s the story of what a team of people pulling together can do. We have overcome many obstacles, managed growth, change, challenges. And we didn’t stop. We keep creating, improving, strengthening our team and preparing for the next stage. But none of this would be possible without you.
I want to thank you all for that. And I wish you to really enjoy your summer. Make sure you have time to do the things you enjoy. May your vacations or days off be truly relaxing.
When we return to our desks, machines, plans and orders after the summer, we will be stronger. And with the knowledge that we’re creating something with real meaning. Because behind every book that passes through our hands, there is work, pride and honesty.
