This year marks 10 years since I started working here, and during my early days I tried out several different positions. I have to say that everywhere I went, I encountered a great team of people who were always willing to give me advice. But let’s go back to the beginning.

In 2013, I moved from northern Bohemia to Havířov to be with my current wife. I spent some time looking for work and finding out what job opportunities were available here. I tried several jobs, but I didn’t see my future in them, until I finally found out about a job offer at FINIDR at the beginning of 2015.
I started out as a handler. Back then, the layout of the machines in the company was completely different from what it is today. As a newcomer, I loaded material into Hall E, where the rotary machines are today, but back then there were sheet feeders. After about two months, I was offered a transfer to the Polar cutting machine, where I spent about a year, and finally, in 2016, I was offered the position of CTP operator.
The work here is varied, which I enjoy. You need to have some computer skills and be able to communicate with other departments. You get to work on highly modern machines. Some of them were even among the first in the Czech Republic. There is also a fairly high degree of automation, so you need to learn which part of the machine to focus on when various error messages appear.
Over the years, I have gradually gained experience and am now a CTP process technician. We are currently trying to automate our work here even more and are working on improving the layout and working environment to make it more welcoming and ensure that employees are happy here.
I look forward to many more years at FINIDR and to what my professional journey here will bring me.
