We have successfully completed another season of our company badminton and bowling leagues. This year, too, brought some interesting results, with the final standings on the podium decided only in the very last matches and head-to-head showdowns.
After a long time, the situation repeated itself, with last year’s champions defending their titles in both disciplines.
In bowling, Michal Lokajíček added another first-place finish to his collection, with Soňa Sajdoková coming in second after a thrilling final round. Soňa also defended her silver medal from last year. Radek Németh took home the bronze trophy for third place.
An interesting aspect of this year’s event was that over 130 competitive matches were played in total, which is likely a historic record. And what was the “highest-scoring” match? It was the match between Michal Lokajíček and Agata Studnická, which ended with a score of 151 to 138.
In badminton, Richard Lamacz demonstrated consistent form throughout the ligue, building on last year’s victory and claiming his second overall title in the badminton competition. His total score of 184 points is clear proof of this. The runner-up also successfully defended their title. Kamil Novák took home the silver cup with 131 points. And Lenka Hlisnikovská celebrated her bronze medal with 128 hard-earned points.
Both winners will also hold the challenge cups for one year. Will we see a golden hat trick, or will new champions emerge? These are questions we’ll only find answers to in the next edition in 2027! Will you be there?
