CHECKS DURING SICK LEAVE

This year, we are continuing to conduct checks on employees during sick leave. These checks are carried out by the external company ZP Group, which has more than 18 years of experience in this field and collaborates with a number of major companies in the region. Checks are always conducted in accordance with applicable legislation and our internal directive S017 – “Conducting Checks on Employees Temporarily Unfit for Work,” which is available on the intranet.

When are inspections conducted?

During the first 14 calendar days of sick leave, the employer may conduct an inspection. During this period, the employee is required to:

·        stay at the address they reported to their GP (we recommend always double-checking it)

·        adhere to allowed outgoings, if are granted

·        allow the inspection to be conducted

It is very important to have a working and clearly marked doorbell and a mailbox with your name on it, whether you live in an apartment building or a single-family home. Unmarked or non-working doorbells and incorrectly listed addresses are among the most common reasons for failed inspections.

What if the employee is not at home?

If an employee is not found at the specified address during a check, a record of the check is prepared and delivered to the employee. If the employee does not respond to it and does not explain the reason for their absence, their sick pay may be reduced or withheld. This decision is made by the employee’s immediate supervisor.

Why do we conduct these checks?

The purpose of these checks is not to make employees’ sick leave more difficult. On the contrary, their goal is to protect honest employees, prevent abuse of the system, and ensure the stable operation of production and the entire company.

We continuously evaluate the results of these checks so that we can respond flexibly to the situation and ensure the overall functioning of production.

We thank all employees who adhere to the treatment regimen and contribute to a fair work environment through their responsible approach.
